The Pencil Parable...

I'm not religious by any means but I do believe in certain things. My brother sent me an email about a week ago that I thought I'd shared. Such a good message.

A PENCIL MAKER TOLD THE PENCIL 5 IMPORTANT LESSONS JUST BEFORE PUTTING IT IN THE BOX :
1. EVERYTHING YOU DO WILL ALWAYS LEAVE A MARK .
2. YOU CAN ALWAYS CORRECT THE MISTAKES YOU MAKE.
3. WHAT IS IMPORTANT IS WHAT IS INSIDE OF YOU.
4. IN LIFE , YOU WILL UNDERGO PAINFUL SHARPENINGS, WHICH WILL ONLY MAKE YOU BETTER.
5. TO BE THE BEST PENCIL, YOU MUST ALLOW YOURSELF TO BE HELD AND GUIDED BY THE HAND THAT HOLDS YOU.
We all need to be constantly sharpened.  This parable may encourage you to know that you are a special person, with unique God-given talents and abilities.  Only you can fulfill the purpose which you were born to accomplish.  Never allow yourself to get discouraged and think that your life is insignificant and cannot be changed and, like the pencil, always remember that the most important part of who you are, is what's inside of you and then allow yourself to be guided by the hand of God.

"Was that you going through my laundry?"

Just Sayin'.... This is pretty much the EXACT outfit that I wore for my Birthday in March. This is Fiona Byrne, a blogger who was featured in Lucky Magazine.

In the words of The Legendary Cher Horowitz, "Do you prefer fashion victim or ensembly challenged?".

These are obviously not the most attractive photographs, to say the least, and you can't see my outfit
that clearly but you get the idea.

I guess I'll take it as a compliment....

Gimme, Gimme What I Want...

Lots of changes going on and I'm not hating it!!

I'm moving... again. Back into my old building that I lived in before my loft. I'm excited to be living with my "Ride Or Die" but not so excited for the move itself, we all know how that goes...

Starting Toni & Guy in June which is also exciting. I finally grew some cojones and just signed myself up. Cheers to making life changes and DOING WHAT YOU WANT FOR YOURSELF! (I'll drink to that!)

..So since I'm moving and I'm obsessed with decorating project "buy everything that I like" has started again. We're sticking with the turquoise theme (adding green and a little pink) that I had in my old place. I'm excited to create a "homey" "lush" place for me to rest my puppies after a long day.

I've obviously been scouring the interwebs in search for the perfect accessories/accents for our place and I, naturally, want everything. Here are some of my top picks that are in and outside of my budget...

Because They'll Look Cute On My Shoe Shelf... and I Just Want Them : )

"I Want You On My Team..." "So Does Everybody Else..."

A lot's been going on! We've moved the store from Downtown Los Angeles to Melrose Ave. Swanky- WE KNOW! I've also been on a hunt for an open front leather jacket, the photo below was my reference point and I FOUND ONE! I found this really great brand called "C. Luce" it's adorable and relatively inexpensive. I've been trying to find more of their stuff online but their website is for wholesale buyers only... bummer...

Swimmin'-In-It...

Aaaaaand, we're back!

I've been meaning to post my Birthday outfits since my last post on the 2nd but we obviously can all see how that went....

I guess I took a little hiatus but I'm back and ready for more! If I ever get around to finding good Birthday outfit pictures then I'll post them, who knows- that was "so 30 days ago"..

I've been filling my days and nights with bathing suit shopping. I thought I found some good ones last summer but the hot tub really cramps my style. Does anyone else get serious bikini sag ass from getting in the jacuzzi? I don't know if it's the heat ruining the elastic but I'm talking like, down to the back of my knees sag ass.

This summer I think I want to keep it pretty simple, suit wise. I'm thinking black with accents or basic color with no accents. I've been searching forever and haven't found that exact one I want... here are a few of my favorites so far...

I Don't Know Why But Today Seems Like It's Going To Be A Great DAAAAAAY...

My Birthday is so soon I can hardly contain myself, everyone's saying "Is it Friday yet?" but honestly, "IS IT FRIDAY YET?!".

I also gave in (because I have a shoe problem) and got those leopard wedges- THANKS MOM, Happy Birthday to me! I am so happy I did. They are definitely traffic stoppers, I've gotten so many compliments already. If you're looking for a crazy wedge, these are the bees knees and so easy to walk in.

They're outrageous so I picked a pretty standard and tame outfit with them but I think it's going to be one of my new favorites.

Forever21 Black Deep V-Neck Sweater
H&M Longer White Layering Tank
Express Black Cropped Leggings
Steve Madden Wiicked Shoes
Diamond Studs

Gold Ray Ban Aviators

I also went and got my hurr did yesterday for my Birthday. I have the best hair dresser, if any of you are looking for someone in LA, go to Dessarae at Crowning Glory Hair Studio- check out their YELP too! She's great with cut and color (and everything inbetween), super professional and we have so much fun!
